Zoe Lu - Digital Entreprenuership Program, InfoDev/ World Bank

Bio: Zoe works in enabling tech entrepreneurship in emerging and frontier markets at infoDev, now known as Innovation and Entrepreneurship, a unit of the World Bank. infoDev is a global partnership program within the World Bank which works to promote competitiveness, employment and sustainable, inclusive growth by enabling the growth of innovative, technology-enabled new ventures.
Prior to joining the Bank, Zoe was an intern with the Tony Elumelu Foundation, supporting tech social entrepreneurs at Co-creation Hub in Lagos, Nigeria. Before receiving her MBA, she worked as a marketing analyst for several Fortune 500 companies. Her current work includes focusing on solutions to promote the growth of digital entrepreneurs, build capacity of business enablers and stimulate entrepreneurial ecosystems in several frontier markets. This includes working directly with innovation center managers to strengthen their service portfolio and building linkages to early-stage financiers.
Zoe has an MBA from Georgetown University and a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
Osman Hussain - Pakistan, Bangladesh and Middle East Correspondent, Tech in Asia
Expertise: Startups, Marketing
Bio: Osman is a journalist for Tech in Asia and tracks startup activity, entrepreneurship, and emerging technology trends across Pakistan and the MENA region. Prior to this he's worked at Dawn and Rocket Internet.
Osman holds a masters degree from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London and is fascinated by the intersection of technology and social change. He believes every aspect of human lives can be significantly enhanced by embracing tech.
Dr. Sara Khurram - Co-Founder, DoctHERs

Bio: Doctor by profession, Dr. Sara has worked in medicine, gynecology, psychiatry and public health. She has found a deep passion in finding innovative solutions to public health issues. She leads day-to-day operations and is in charge of recruiting doctHERs and engaging stakeholders in the work of the organization.
Saad Hamid - Community Lead, Invest2Innovate
Expertise: Design thinking, digital marketing, startups
Bio: Saad is a digital evangelist & community mobilizer working for Invest2Innovate as the Innovation & Community Lead and is also the founder of the Digital Empower Initiative (DEI). Much of Saad's work is about helping organizations & startups with growth hacking in the digital space and understanding communities online and offline to create scalable and measurable impact. He's also worked as a consultant with some of the very innovative organizations such as TED, World Economic Forum, IDEO, The World Bank, DAI, Google and Mobilink on community building, ICT for Development, exploring freelancing & e-pportunities, digital marketing and design thinking. Saad runs the Google Developers Community in Islamabad and volunteers as a mentor for Plan9 TechHub, WeCreate Islamabad and Nest I/O. In 2016, Saad got selected as an Acumen Fellow and is the first person from Pakistan to be included to the Google Developer Experts program.
Faisal Sherjan - Co founder
Bio: Faisal is co-Founder/ angel investor in several innovative and promising startups in Pakistan. He has served as Director Strategy and Planning of Jang Group, the largest media conglomerate in Pakistan. He founded TV Asia (a pioneering TV Channel focused on expatriate South Asians) in UK and raised $ 18 Mil. He is mentor and angel investor of the very promising Patari, the preeminent Pakistani music site, and the Spotify or Apple Music of Pakistan. He is also the mentor and angel investor of Bookme.pk which just raised a round of funding valuing it at $4 Mil.
Expertise: Jal Bujh
Bio: Zia Imran has over 20+ years of industry experience with over a decade of experience in C-level positions. Currently he is the CEO of VahZay (Pvt) Limited, a consulting and services company. Previously he was the Managing Director of Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) in Islamabad, a government company under MoIT. Zia is also an adjunct professor of Entrepreneurship at ITU, Lahore. He serves on the board of Plan9, the technology incubator of PITB, Government of Punjab and is an adviser to P@SHA Fund, a funding entity for nurturing new socially responsible ventures. He served as the Chairman P@SHA, the industry trade body for IT industry, for the year 2009. He has been a judge at APICTA (Asia Pacific IT Alliance) annual conference for multiple years. In his spare time he uses his electrical engineering training to design energy saving devices and solar and bio-gas driven renewable energy systems for home and agriculture purposes.
Ahmer Mumtaz - CEO

Bio: With a Masters from Brunel University UK, Ahmer has over 15 years of experience, 11 of which are dedicated to his own venture. The venture deals with servicing the Telecom sector in Pakistan in areas like ongoing management of consumer WEB, mobile applications, Value Added Services (VAS), Customer Care, and Billing systems.
Ahmer’s vast experience has allowed him to harness strategic business skills to resolve conflicts and help bring economic prosperity to the country. He also has notable experience working for philanthropic organizations.
Hamid Akhtar - Software Architect
Bio: Hamid joined the ICIL team in July 2015, and contributes his time as the Technology Lead. He keeps a close eye on software design, development, and coding standards. Hamid has been actively programming since 8th grade, with more than 23 years of software development experience under his belt, including 15 years of professional experience providing consultancy to companies in the UK, US, Germany, and Saudi Arabia. In his spare time, Hamid enjoys playing football and has competed in international football tournaments at the school level in Europe and has been his school’s table tennis and badminton champion.
Salman Naveed - Campaign Manager
Expertise: Alif Ailaan
Bio: M. Nasrullah has been creating & leading world class engineering companies for over a decade. He's founded three companies, raised more than $2M from Pakistan. His last company Pring was a mobile social platform with more than 8 million users. Nasrullah loves playing with cutting edge technology, coaching technical leaders and advising startups on tech. He currently serves as the VP of Engineering at Convo.
Asim Ghaffar - Director
Bio: Asim is leading ICIL, a joint program of Code for Pakistan and OPEN Islamabad. A graduate of the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, he has a strong passion for building open source apps to solve civic problems. Asim has worked as a Senior Software Engineer for Nokia Siemens Networks in the past, and also ran a software consultancy for Pakistan Air Force. With 12 years of experience under the belt, he is currently the VP RnD at LMKR. In his free time, he plays the keyboard and records music.
